First up we have a Beatles double whammy. I have no idea who made this random video. Enjoy the ducks as Ben Folds sings "Golden Slumbers" and Eddie Vedder performs "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away."
Second we finally have a U2 song that I would put on my mp3 player. They have never sounded better.
Next up we have the man who is always welcome on the Skog Blog, the late, great Elliott Smith doing "13" by Big Star.
Now we have the highest selling group in the history of Motown, who for some reason has been slandered this week on the blog scene. Shame on you all for mocking such a class act. Here is Boyz II Men with a silky smooth rendition of the Commodores classic, "Easy."
And finally we have one more Beatles song to complete the weekend. The always strangely erotic Fiona Apple doing "Across the Universe."
Ok so technically this isn't a cover song but this is my blog and I make the rules. Seeing the Fiona video above reminded me of her greatest video starring my twin (when Wheels lets me grow my beard for a few months) Mr. Zach Galifianakis.

I feel like a blog stalker but, in my defense, when I sat down at the computer tonight for the first time all day, you had two posts that needed addressing. So, for my second comment in as many minutes, here goes. I've heard Eddie Vedder's Beatles rendition before and I have to say that he is in the ranks of Joe Cocker and those precious few who sing a Beatles song as good (or better) than the original.
U2 and REM both rock (equally) so they can trade entire songbooks for all I care and sing each other's music on street corners...either way, I'm a fan.
Boyz II Men still sucks balls and I cannot believe you would disrespect the Commodores by posting this crap. And being the highest selling group in Motown does not make you compare to the Motown greats...The Supremes, The Temptations, The Commodores. Being the highest selling group in Motown simply means that there are far too many young kids with far too much cash in their pockets and far too crappy taste in music.
I am downloading my entire Boyz II Men CD collection onto my ipod as we speak. Starting with 'Yesterday.'
And for the second time in as many minutes, Corb, DMMBYNWMBH!
